Left-Brain Mom (aka Amy)

While research has dispelled the concept of Right-Brain/Left-Brain thinkers, my family and friends have accurately pegged me as Left-Brain because of my need for plans and organization. The fact that I work in a world of numbers only reinforces this stereotype.

Coping as a Left-Brain can be difficult. Mix the need for order and structure with a full-time job, two kids and a husband and it is a recipe for… let’s call it humor and adventure.

My husband Low-Key (nicknamed by a friend of mine) and I have been married since college and now have a seven-year old son Goose and a five-year old daughter Chicken. My husband and I both work full-time and share the chores at home – thankfully.

When I am not working or restoring order to my world, I am likely searching for caffeine or planning our next family adventure.

After a year of losing much of the order in my life, I decided to start a blog to share my experience with others that seek order amongst the chaos of life – and share my adventures along the way.
